DESCRIPTION:Following on from the “Africa + Tech” talks\, LifeCheq is delighted to be hosting Dr Peter Karungu for a discussion about the future of Africa’s economic climate. Dr Karungu is a senior economics lecturer at Wits University and managing partner of Synthecon. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Kentucky and has published academic articles in both national and international journals. He has consulted broadly for both government and international bodies\, including the USAID\, SIDA\, Department of Finance\, Department of Agriculture\, and the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA). He has also provided strategic advice to a number of Ministers and heads of parastatal agencies and has worked on several projects relating to economic empowerment. \n
